Finnis Tree

Finnis's famous haunted tree has finally been felled and the whereabouts of the evil spirit it was claimed it imprisoned is now unknown. How the tree looked last year:

i played a gig in king's bar opposite this tree-stump (which somehow survived last august's floods) and a friend of mine was outside at closing time waiting for a taxi. we knew nothing about the ghost stories, and despite being well wrapped up and drunk beyond all recognition, he only managed to sit on the bridge for about 2 minutes before coming back inside, claiming he "didn't like it out there." whether it's haunted or not, it's still a spooky lookin place after midnight!
